I was motivated by this speaker's emphasis on connecting the school with community. It's a wonderful concept. I immediately had numerous ideas come to mind for applying this idea right here in my own community (both job and neighborhood). Using digital voice recorder to unobtrusively record seniors talking about whatever is important to them e.g. family, history, stories, life, education, their vocations, interests, specialties, etc. It's a wonderful thing to be heard. Having someone take an interest and listen is an enjoyable experience for me and I'll bet it's true for our seniors as well. Seniors living in extended care facilities in particular might enjoy the company. They may also enjoy learning about the new technologies such as podcasts.

Testing the Word function
Well, this looks to be easy enough. Just open MSWord (2007) and choose "New>New Blog Post". It then steps you through a couple of one time only screens that ask you for information specific to your blog. This is so that Word can find your blog for the purpose of posting.
Word asks you:
Your Login and Password
Where you want to store pictures or images. (Blogger does not store images) So you will store them in your www folder.
Specific information about your www folder is then requested:

path: i:/www
